The Forerunner School of Ministry is a non-denominational, educational instrument devoted to equipping and training the ministers of tomorrow.” According to Webster’s dictionary, a “forerunner” is a person who goes before or announces the coming of another. It is also an indication of the approach of something or someone.

The Forerunner School of Ministry has teamed up with Global University, Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and Berean School of the Bible to provide the educational base of FSM.  Combining the elite mentorship and hands on experience of FSM with the remarkable curriculum of these four organizations FSM offers an incredibly unique and effective training model.

While the evangelical ministry of Mercy Seat Ministries provides an incredible base for travel and evangelism across the nation and the world, in 2006 the launching of the Summit Church at Birmingham expanded the school’s base for our pastoral, worship, missions, and media majors.  In addition to our five majors and our prophetic minor student’s attend weekly chapels, conduct weekly community outreaches, work daily with church staff, and learn and perform cutting edge dramatic performances.

Students that complete the two year curriculum at The Forerunner School of Ministry will have the opportunity to work as a third year intern at the Summit Church. After their third year, they may be selected to plant a Forerunner School in one of the many pre-selected regions of the world under the covering of The Forerunner School of Ministry in Birmingham, AL.
