How do I become a Forerunner?



We are so honored you have consider our school as a future option and path for your education. Each of our leadership are here to server you and your parents in any way we are able to. Your first step in becoming a student at The Forerunner School of Ministry is to download, printed and fill out our application.

We highly suggest applicants to apply up to one year prior to the beginning date of the semester for which they plan on enrolling. Evaluations will begin upon receiving the completed application.

Applications must be submitted at least three months before the semester starts. Evaluation will begin upon the arrival of the complete application, including all references and application fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the processing of your application. The status of your enrollment cannot be provided by telephone.

Late application are accepted and limited dependant on space avaliablity within our dorm housing.  Applicants who wish to postpone their enrollment for up to on year are not subject to reapplication fees. Applicants postponing their enrollment for more than one year must resubmit a full application and it's fees.

Before You Send Your Application


Application
Please complete all questions in the application package. When finished, please sign and date the form to avoid any delay in the processing of your application. Send the completed application and the $75 application fee to FSM.

Transcript Request
Request certified transcripts directly from the high school of your graduation or the last college or university that you may have attended. Transcripts and GED certificates must be sent directly to FSM from the issuing educational body.

Recommendations:                                                                                                              References from  an Educator, Pastor, and Friend: The Educator’s reference will need to be an instructor you formerly or presently are enrolled in their class. A pastoral recommendation form must be completed by a pastor (non-relative) from your home church. A Senior Pastor's recommendation is preferred; however, a Youth Pastor or an
Associate Pastor's recommendation is also acceptable.

Photograph
Attach a clear recent photo and submit it with your application. Please make sure that your photo is at least wallet size. Passport photos, computer generated and scanned images are acceptable if they are very clear.

Financial Costs


Tuition
This college is financed by God’s people, churches, and individuals as they have been led by the Holy Spirit to see the need for a Bible-trained ministry. Because of this, The Forerunner School of Ministry endeavors to keep the students expenses at the lowest possible levels.

Tuition costs are as follows: (subject to change)
Application Fee (one-time fee) …...……..$75.00
One Semester………………………….…..$2,750.00
One Year………………………………...….$8,250.00

The following policy has been established to clearly define each student’s financial obligations as he/she purses the call of God upon his/her life through The Forerunner School of Ministry.

- Tuition for students each term is $2,750.00.

- A $1,375.00 deposit must be made 45 days before the beginning of the student’s first semester.

-For all Veteran's receiving GI Benefits refunds will be prorate plan.

- Students remaining balance must be paid in full upon arrival.

- Tuition costs cover student's housing, ministry travel while with FSM, Berean Courses, and FSM academic books, if the student shoud decide on Berean School of the Bible as their educational option.

- If you withdraw, your Initial Deposit can be refunded in specified amounts before predetermined dates preceding the start of the term. The terms of withdrawal refunds are
· 45+days before term begins - Full reimbursement, plus $75.00 application fee.
· 30+days before term begins - $700  reimbursement, plus $75.00 application fee.
· 15+days before term begins - $200  reimbursement, plus $75.00 application fee.
· 15 days or less before term begins - no reimbursements, except $75.00 application  fee.
- Any deposit amount exceeding your required deposit would be reimbursed completely up to the completion of week two during the term.


Living Costs
Each student is responsible for any living costs they might have. The Forerunner School of Ministry's tuition does not cover personal expenses such as gas, food, cell phone bills, car insurance, etc...

Requirements of FSM Applicants


All applicants applying as a student must meet the following requirements to receive consideration for acceptance to FSM.

Character
Students will be expected to live in accorance with Godly principles as stated in The Forerunner School Student Manual and must have done so upon their enrollment at FSM.

Academics
Applicants must have completed high school with a certified diploma or have accuired a GED or equivalated.

Age/Martial Status
Applicants MUST be at least 18 years of age by the end of their first semester in which they enroll. Due to our intense schedule of travel, our program is specifically designed for non-married college aged students.

Fees
A non-refundable application fee of $75 (USDA) must be sent with your application. Send a check or money order attached to your application forms. Please make checks payable to Mercy Seat Ministries, Inc. and written in the memo line the student's name.
